Remixtation: Judas – Lady Gaga

Needless of long introduction, Goldfrapp has revolutionized the dance/electro music scene in the UK for quite some time. “Judas”, one of the better tracks on Lady Gaga’s latest, got the remix treatment by none other than Goldfrapp themselves (Although it is probable that Allison didn’t touch it) and have successfully managed to reshape the song into something unrecognizable, in a good way. Download below and give it a listen.

Remixtation: She Ain’t Got – LeToya

LeToyaJason Nevins remixed this song and brought out its best side. Forget everything you know about the original, and enjoy this remix.
The intro is sick.

Remixtation: In For The Kill – La Roux

LaRouxSkream’s Let Get Ravey Remix takes the song to another level, on it’s own. It takes off the punchy beats, and replaces them with an eerie music that suprisingly work well for the song. If you loved the original one but got bored of it, this is for you.

Remixtation: Eh, Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say) – Lady GaGa

GaGaI love Bollywood remixes. I love anything indian that touches american music, it automatically upgrades it (Britney’s Me Against The Music, anyone?). This is keeping with the “status-quo”, take a listen and tell me what you think!

Remixtation: Untouched – The Veronicas

veronicasuntouchedThis remix is definitely one of the better remixes of the song, it’s different than the actual song, it slows it down a tiny bit, and make it sound a little different. It’s a lovely remix by the “Von Doom”.

nuLike: Bulletproof – La Roux

LaRouxLa Roux is new to the music scene, but not entirely, her first single Quicksand didn’t practically chart in the UK, but her second one “In For The Kill” which was a sleeper’s hit, reaching #2 on the chart. Now she’s ready to take the UK by storm with her new single “Bulletproof”, which I think is much better than the first two combined! Here is the album version and the Zinc remix of the song. I hope this becomes her first #1 hit, it’s very much worthy of being so.

Remixtation: Anthonio – Annie

annieThe Anthonio EP has just been released, this remix stood out the most, it compliments the original, and made me re-love the song. Well done to whoever remixed it (Berlin Breakdown?).

nuLike: Love Takes Over (Feat. Kelly Rowland) – David Guetta [Updated]

dgfkrWell, this is unlikely, and surprising. It is David’s first single from his upcoming album “When Love Takes Over”. It turned out to be a good pairing, I adored it upon first listen. The way it climaxes, the big vocals of Kelly Rowland mashed up with Guetta’s beats are all factors to make this a big hit. This is the original mix in all its 320 kbps glory.
Update: Apparently this is NOT the original mix, it’s the “Arno Cost & Norman Doray” mix, still good.

Remixtation: LoveGame – Lady GaGa

gaga1I love remixes that change the listening “experience” of a song, “Robtos to Mars” remix does that exactly. It tones the song down, and make it very lounge-y, except for the main track which isn’t slowed down. Take a listen and decide for yourself.

Remixtation: Carolyna – Melanie C.

I love this woman, I love her voice, I love her lyrics, I love her music. This is not her best song by a clear mile, but I love this remix, it elevates the original to a level I didn’t know was possible, I liked the original when I first heard it, but this remix is the one that I play when I want to listen to Mel C’s “Carolyna”. Her voice is one of the UK’s best, in my opinion at least.
