Moviedar: Alica In Wonderland

This is the official teaser trailer for Tim Burton’s take on Alice In Wonderland. I can’t think of anyone better  to direct such flick, and with the stellar cast of Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, and Helene Bonham Carter.

Moviedar: US Official Trailer for “Ponyo”

I wrote about this movie a while ago here, but now, the first official US trailer for the movie is here, watch it, and be amazed. The retitled the movie from “Ponyo On A Cliff by the Sea” to just “Ponyo”. listen to Cate Blanchett in the trailer as well.

Upcoming: Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland

alice-in-wonderland_oldI love Tim Burton so very much, from the quirky Edward Scissor Hands, to most recently Sweeney Todd, the duo (trio counting Helena Bonham Carter) never failed me, there’s always something exciting, something very fresh, and of course something a little bit creepy. When I heard that Tim Burton is doing Alice In Wonderland, I was hoping that both Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham carter will be in it, and guess what? they got the best roles AND there’s one additional surprise for those not familiar with other cast members, check after the jump for the promotional photos and the tiny surprise.

Moviedar: The Time Traveler’s Wife

I will ALWAYS have a soft spot for Rachel McAdams, ALWAYS. Ever since Mean Girls, then The Notebook, to Red Eye and finally The Lost Ones, she’s perfected each role, and all four were so very different from one another, so I’m always excited to see a movie with her in it, never hesitate, never ever! On my watchlist this year is Sherlock Holmes as well, because of her obviously. This movie will appeal most to fans of The Notebook, from the trailer it’s a tearjerker. The movie stars Eric Bana (Troy, Munich) as the time traveler. I recommend that you watch the trailer, it’s not to be missed.

Moviedar: Toy Story 3!

The first ever Pixar/Disney movie, the one that started it all, is now back in its third installment, to be released on… watch the trailer!
I personally can’t wait, hope it’s as good as the first, but I think it won’t be half as successful as the first, cause after all, Pixar has done many “stupefying”  (in a good way) 3D movies afterwards (Monsters Inc., Ratatouille, Wall-E and now Up), but Toy Story still has its charm.

Moviedar: Nine

A new musical by the same genius who directed Chicago, and this time with an even bigger cast! Are you ready? Oscar winners: Daniel Day-Lewis, Judi Dench, Nicole Kidman, Penélope Cruz, Marion Cotillard and Sophia Lauren. Non-Oscar winners: Kate Hudson (why?), and Fergie. This is going to be HUGE. Thanks Milfa3 for the tip.

Confirmed: Christina Aguilera to star in “Burlesque”

BurlesqueIt is now confirmed that Christina Aguilera will in Steve Antin’s “contemporary musical” Burlesque. Steve Antin is Robin’s brother, Robin Antin is the creator of the Pussycat Dolls. Christina Aguilera already joined the Pussycat Dolls when they were performing in clubs as a burlesque group, before being “PCD”, here’s the video of her performing Fever. We all know Christina is no stranger to burlesque-ing, if the fever video didn’t prove it, THIS will.

Moviedar: Ponyo

ponyo-us-poster-fullsizejpgOriginally titled “Ponyo On A Cliff By Sea”, the latest movie from animation guru Hayao Miyazaki, the genius behind Howl’s Moving Castle and Spirited Away, all of which were stellar masterpieces. Disney is planning on bringing the english version to the US theaters in august of this year. You can check the cast yourself on the poster, and you can guess how amp’d I am to watch it. Here is the original trailer.
