Can you hear that? Those are the Oscar bells ringing.

Previously known as “the Nancy Meyers project” teams up the “mighty” three in a romantic comedy that isn’t a “GASP” total chick-flick. It looks smart and funny, something rare these days. It comes out on

Director: John Patrick Shanley. Cast: Meryl Streep, Philip Seymour Hoffman, and Amy Adams. In Short: Set in 1964, Doubt centers on a nun who confronts a priest after suspecting him abusing a black student. He denies the charges, and much of the plays quick-fire dialogue tackles themes of religion, morality and authority. It’s Probably my most anticipated movie of (what’s left of) the year, I would proudly watch anything with Meryl Streep in it, and now add Philip Seymour, and Amy Adams to the mix, and I’m sold. All three cast members mentioned are up for a Golden Globed nomination, and two for Meryl for her work on Mamma Mia!. It’s a plus whenever Meryl plays an evil character, check out the trailer above.
