Winnie The Pooh Vs. Harry Potter

July 15 has been engraved in the back of every moviegoer’s mind that it’s the day “It all ends“, the release date of the final Harry Potter movie. But, what’s funny (not really) is that July 15 is also the release date of Disney’s new revamped-but-still-true-to-its-roots Winne The Pooh movie. Now, the genius team behind Winnie The Pooh has released TV spots poking fun at its box office competition with the mighty wizard to lessen the blow. Below are the two spot, and the full theatrical trailer for those not in the know.

Moviedar: Toy Story 3!

The first ever Pixar/Disney movie, the one that started it all, is now back in its third installment, to be released on… watch the trailer!
I personally can’t wait, hope it’s as good as the first, but I think it won’t be half as successful as the first, cause after all, Pixar has done many “stupefying”  (in a good way) 3D movies afterwards (Monsters Inc., Ratatouille, Wall-E and now Up), but Toy Story still has its charm.

Moviedar: Ponyo

ponyo-us-poster-fullsizejpgOriginally titled “Ponyo On A Cliff By Sea”, the latest movie from animation guru Hayao Miyazaki, the genius behind Howl’s Moving Castle and Spirited Away, all of which were stellar masterpieces. Disney is planning on bringing the english version to the US theaters in august of this year. You can check the cast yourself on the poster, and you can guess how amp’d I am to watch it. Here is the original trailer.

Moviedar: Oceans

Brought to you by Disneynature, so you know it’ll be good! The trailer is breathtaking, from the scenery to the editing, it looks VERY promising and I for one can not wait to get to watch it. Keep in mind that it’s kind of a documentary, not a “movie”. Even if you hate documentaries, watch the trailer and be amazed.

Moviedar: Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs

Based on the book of the same title that I haven’t read, to make sense of the title, watch the trailer, looks awesome, but the most animated movies I’m looking forward to in ’09 are Pixar’s Up! and Aliens Vs. Monsters.
