Song Of The Day

laura-marlingjpgSong: New Romantic
Artist: Laura Marling
Album: New Romantic – Single
In short: It’s beauty is in its admitted-vulnerability. “and I’m sorry to which ever man should meet my sorry state, watch my steady lonesome gait and beware. I would never love a man ’cause love and pain go hand in hand, and I can’t do it again.” and of course her voice that carries the song high and above. A beautiful simple acoustic song.

TV: No.1 Ladies’ Detective Agency

A new original HBO series airing March 29th 2009, starring the mighty Jill Scott and the least-known Dreamgirl [the movie], Anika Nina Rose, who’s by the way is the lead in Disney’s upcoming hand-drawn animation fairy tale The Frog And The Princess. It looks fun, I love Jill Scott and anything she does! I can’t wait for this to air. Check its teaser trailer above.

“IT”

it2drevjpgWe’ve all been scared by Stephen King’s iconic clown. Yes, we had our turn, now it’s time for the kiddies of this time to have a taste. Yes, it’s being remade.
Obviously it won’t be as scary as the first one, because somehow movies these days just don’t have that “IT” factor (no pun intended). Anyways, here’s a quote:
“Inspired by the success of the Friday the 13th reboot, Warner Brothers has decided to remake Stephen King’sIt for the big screen. The 1990 version of It (that was actually made for TV) has often been referred to as one of the scariest movie of all-time. Lin Pictures and Vertigo Entertainment are developing this new version as a fresh adaptation from Stephen King’s original novel. Dave Kajganich, of The Invasion and Creek as well as the upcoming Pet Sematary remake, will write the script. These rights have been floating around Hollywood for a while, but it was Warner Brothers who decided to finally give it another chance.”

Review: The Fall

zapredelye2006x264bdripkinozaltv08007714-13-59I’ve seen many movies in my life, but I have never seen one so beautiful, it’s not the best movie, but it’s the best looking one. The scenery is breathtaking, the story is compelling to say the least, it’s definitely one of my favorite movies. It’s the kind of movie you’d want to watch over and over again to figure out the story well, and to have the beauty sink in, I urge you all to watch the movie, I have no idea why it wasn’t nominated for an Oscar for at least best cinematography. Watch it if you could get your pirating hands on a copy, or better yet, buy it. Check the images below to see how “heavenly” the photography is!

Moviedar: Drag Me To Hell

First things first, if you’re expecting a high-budget horror flick with nice scenery/effects and not at the very least scary, this is not for you. This is a throwback to old school horror, and it actually seems pretty scary, it’s directed by Sam Raimi, the guy behind Spider-man and Boogyman [the first one].
