Review: Elegy

elegy-posterelegy |ˈeləjē|noun ( pl. -gies)1 a poem of serious reflection, typically a lament for the dead.piece of music in a mournful style. Now that the word is out of the way, let the review commence. First of all, I downloaded the movie solely for Penelopé Cruz, I had no expectations whatsoever. The movie blew me away, Sir Ben Kingsley and Penelopé are the perfect choice for the movie, I can’t think of any other paring, their acting is top notch, the story is very well written, and told even better. It’s about a professor who’s animal-y attracted to a student of his, and what stars as an attraction turns into an obsession. The movie also stars Patricia Clarkson (Far From Heaven, Vicky Cristina Barcelona) whom I adore.
